Born and raised in rural WI, I grew up in a creative family, immersed in history, ecology, music, environmentalism, art, writing, and joy.
A volunteer position turned into a museum career at the Kelch Aviation Museum in Brodhead, WI. My fascination with the barnstorming era drove me to complete 100% of my flight training in a 1931 airplane.
When PBS came calling, my childhood exploring climate activism and helping build my parents' eco-house was the perfect training for hosting "Field Notes on Climate" for PBS Wisconsin Education.
Inspired by Buster Keaton, I dove into filmmaking and history, performed in the circus, and made silent movies.
